We finally finished and released John Heffernen’s memoir Not One Drop of Blood: The Human Side of Prison Versus Probation. The book chronicles his time as a parole and probation supervisor and as superintendent for Geiger, Pine Lodge and Airway Heights Correctional facilities. His story and thoughts about how we can improve the rate of recividism for parolled offenders are highlighted throughout the book.
Also, Bob Manion’s fanciful stories of Santa Clause and his friends are told in Santa’s Heroes. This collection of short stories are a twist on other Santa stories as they tell of the problems Santa faces but over comes with the help of his friends. His adventures include production problems, reindeer flu, magical penguins and Pegasus the flying horse. Tales that can be read and retold to all ages.
